You can also purchase local products in market. Lunch at Kalaw before transfer to train station for a train journey to Shwenyaung. It is nearly 4 hours ride (the train station is located half an hour drive from Nayungshwe, Inle). The journey from Kawal to Shwenyaung is one of the worlds great train rides and a unique adventure. Met on arrival in Shwenyaung station and transfer to hotel in Nyaungshwe, Inle. Check in hotel. |

Walk to jetty for boat sightseeing in Inle Lake, the second largest natural lake in Myanmar situated 1320 meter above the sea level among the hazy blue mountains. On the lake's shore and islands are 17 villages on stilts, inhabited by Intha people famous for their unique leg-rowing techniques. Continue sightseeing in the lake by boat as time allows. Tour highlights are Inle lake floating gardens, villages around the lake, Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, home industries and the NgaPheKyaung Monastery. Back to hotel and if time allowed, visit to Red mountain Wine Vineyard for sunset and transfer to dinner. Overnight in Inle Lake. |

We may also visit if time allows the Amarapura, Mahagandayon Monastery a renowned Buddhist monastery, local silk weaving and finally the U Bein Bridge for a beautiful sunset. Popa (50 km from Bagan), a extinct vocano with spectacular view over plains of the Bagan which is also a site with numerous spirit images and shrines for spirit & animist worshippers. Visit Taunkalat Hill( Mt. popa) taking over 700 stairs to the top and observe the local vendors, legends of 37 spirits in Burmese folk religion, and panoramic view. Lunch at Popa and return to Bagan. Discover few spots in Bagan if time allowed and then back to hotel. Rest day at leisure. |
